Video: Elisabeth Hasselbeck Confronts Bill Maher About Joke on The View

Elisabeth Hasselbeck knows funny. And Bill Maher is not funny.
That's why she took a grand total of 55 seconds before attacking Maher over a joke he made on his Real Time show many months prior.
Maher respectfully explained that he does a comedy show, to which Hasselbeck decided to continue to press the issue about the joke and make all the women on The View uncomfortable and desperate for a topic change.
The next 2 minutes and 53 seconds were a glorious display of bitterness and awkward attempts to redirect the conversation.
Hasselbeck tried to claim that her feelings were not hurt even though Barbara Walters seemed to think so.
She also received no backup from Joy Behar, which killed her argument that she knows funny because she "works with funnies," when Behar stated that comedians ride the line from time to time on appropriateness.
It's clear that Hasselbeck was making it a personal issue because there is no reason to brink the joke up otherwise.
Maher said it best, "You're a public figure and when you're a public figure you're out there and fodder for comedians."
I'll add that she should also grow the hell up.
But I also like Maher's explanation of the confrontation during his appearance on Letterman last night.
